It’s Freerange Future’s sixth birthday today. That’s six years of creating beautiful websites and stunning branding for our clients in Australia and around the world.
To celebrate Freerange Future’s sixth birthday, and in no particular order, here are 6 of the awesome things that have happened in the last year.
Big Stories sweeping the awards
Nick and Sieh flew to Texas for SxSW Interactive, where Big Stories and Freerange Future won the award the best community website.
Nick then attended the South Australia Screen Awards where Big Stories picked up the award for Innovation in Digital Media

The best pub in town now has the best app
As well as all new graphics and a Gluttonberg managed website, we also built the Wheatsheaf hotel an app for their 9th birthday.

The Freerange Couch
Definitely the trendiest couch we’d seen for a while. It always get a compliment when new clients come to Freerange.
In Yuri’s words; “It’s a very cool couch”.
Wish you were here
Oh the places we’ve been in the last year. We’ve had Freerangers travelling to Texas, Korea, Pakistan, Europe, South America, and the USA.
I am not an animal
Amy was concepter and designer on an audio tour based performance that took over the Adelaide Zoo during the Adelaide Festival. Such was it’s success a new permanent based installation is now being staged in Melbourne.
The next generation of Freerangers
The next gen is here. After Abdul and Rabbia welcomed Bilal into the world last April, Nick and Minka brought Zoe into the world in July. Zoe just celebrated her first birthday a few days ago.
So that was the last 12 months, what’s coming up in the next 12? Here’s a bit of a preview of what’s to come…
Kumuwuki/Big Wave
Freerange is co-sponsoring the Digital Cultures lens at the Kumuwuki/Big Wave Regional Arts Conference in Goolwa in October, as well as building the conference website and an iPhone/Android mobile app.
