We used our five phase Heartways methodology for website development and branding for this project. The brand refresh was an interesting challenge because there were some non-negotiables to incorporate into the design. The ‘SJ’ logo shape had to remain and the colour purple was important. We focused on tidying up and balancing the logo, while enriching the brand with a suite of complementary colours, more impactful fonts and a range of sub-brand badges for SJYSs services.
To address the imagery challenge, we worked with illustrator, Elise Lampe, to create a suite of unique, youthful visuals throughout the site that incorporate blocks of the brand colours. We worked closely with the client to ensure website content was presented in a more concise manner, ensuring clear calls to action for both donors and young people seeking assistance.
The new SJYS website is easy to navigate and engages with their audience in a meaningful and inclusive way. By combining unique illustrations, concise content, and accessible design we have created a digital presence that reflects SJYS’s essential work with young people.
Freerange Future has really helped us bring more energy to our branding and create a website that's ready for the future. We felt supported and empowered through the process. It's rare you find people who really get what you're about and trying to achieve. Thanks Freerange.
