Radiant Detective

Radiant Detective is an innovative, interactive, touch-based display commissioned by the SA Museum to present data on Adelaide’s urban heat to school-age students. Light planes were sent up in a series of passes to capture radiance of heat, light reflection and other metrics under a range of conditions.

This information is critical to researchers investigating how we can cool the planet efficiently. Radiant Detective invites school students to consider this data, its causes and effects and synthesise creative solutions for problems associated with urban heat environments.
