Fino have opened restaurant two in the Barossa Valley.

And with the second restaurant came a revisit to the Fino brand. We thought about a brand restructure and how to unify both restaurants to Fino, yet express both sites to their place and individual quirk.

It was a busy design job.

We use texture and colour to differentiate the sites. Willunga sits in a valley of slate. The scrawl is a texture created on slate with flint, much like a messy student’s incoherent hand in a class from the turn of the last century. The green is seen in the eucalypt. With Seppeltsfield, the illustration plays on perspectives lines and contained space. We connected this concept to the new Seppeltsfield building; the restaurant space is large and minimal. The yellow is seen in wattle.

The simplicity of the Fino mark holds the values accordant to Fino; simple, elegant, clean.
