With Gluttonberg our goal has always been to create a Content Management System that's great for you and for us. For you: simple, flexible and enjoyable. For us: powerful, extandable and quick to work with. For Gluttonberg 2.0 we set our goals higher. Gluttonberg should be more than a CMS.
For Gluttonberg 2.0 the entire system has been redeveloped. The new interface is cleaner and simpler, the system is faster and more stable, there are many new features and most importantly we have a rock-solid foundation to build on over the next five to ten years.
While we've invested many hundreds of hours into building Gluttonberg 2.0, it's important to us that this system is open source. We want other developers to use Gluttonberg. We want you to be confident that you won't be compelled to pay for expensive annual upgrade fees.
Gluttonberg is more than a CMS, it's a web publishing platform. What's the difference? Gluttonberg provides the key building blocks we need to quickly develop custom online applications.
Simplicity
Too often CMSs try to be all things to all people and end up confusing you with too many bells and whistles. Gluttonberg has a clean, uncluttered interface and is simple for you to use.
Localisation
Unlike most other CMSs, localisation is at the core of Gluttonberg. This makes managing your content in a number of different languages a breeze.
Asset Library
Managing images, documents and videos within your CMS should be easy but so often it isn’t. With the Gluttonberg Asset Library you can easily upload, catalogue and search for the assets within your site. Gluttonberg even resizes your images to the correct scale. No more giant images or Photoshop headaches.
Blogs
The new Blog module provides all the power and functionality you would expect from a blog: posts, comments, trackbacks, RSS feeds and anti-spam protection.
Member Management
Gluttonberg enables you to easily designate private areas on your website and create member groups: registered users who can view pages hidden from the general public. This can be useful for your staff, members, board, etc.
Publishing and Versioning
Publishing and drafting allows you to hide work in progress and publish content at specific future dates. Versioning stores previous drafts of content and lets you roll back to them if you need.
Simple Editing
Edit the text on your site with simple Word style formatting controls. Use a defined list of text styles to ensure the style of your site is consistent. Add images from the asset library right into the content of your pages.
